Teams that are looking for housing have a few options:
- Hotels: There are a bunch in the area. We have compiled a list of possible options on the local guide page. The weekend of the Pioneer Valley invite is always a very, very busy event weekend in the area, so hotels tend to book up VERY early. So, if you plan on staying in a hotel, we highly recommend you book very, very early.
- Camping: There are a decent number of options relatively close to the Oxbow. Again, book your spaces as early as you can.
- Local hosts: We work hard each year to place teams with local host families. The cost for this service is $50 per team. Teams will get some kind of mix of floor space, couches, and beds for the duration of their stay. Think of it as camping inside a house. Teams end up bringing lots of their own bedding. Priority for this service is given to teams that are traveling from far away. While we cannot guarantee we will have enough local hosts for all teams that request local housing, we usually have enough space for 95% of teams that ask. Note that sometimes teams will be split across multiple local host locations. Information on how to request local housing will go out by mid-January.
