Thank you for coming to the 3rd annual PVI!

Thanks for coming - Josh & Mabel

Thanks for coming!

Thank you for an unreal weekend!

The 60+ volunteers and I thank you for being such wonderful teams! We couldn’t be happier with how things turned out, and a HUGE part of the success of the event if because of teams like yours!

If possible, please forward this message to all members of your team.

Some good stuff for you:

1) We’d like everyone that attended the event — players, coaches, chaperones, spectators — to fill out this short online feedback survey. The information you submit will helps us build an even better event in 2017! We know that filling out feedback surveys can be a drag, but know that the best way for us to improve the event, by far, is to hear from you… and, as a bonus, everyone who fills out the survey has the option of being entered into a raffle for a tournament hat and shirt!

2) Mark your calendars for May 20th and 21st, 2017! That’s when we’ll be holding the 4th annual PVI! The event will be back at the Oxbow!

3) We’d love to see any and all photos and video that you took this weekend. Please post whatever you can share to the PVI Facebook page. If it’s easier, feel free to email me content or links.

4) Please look over the reported game scores. Let me know via email (josh@pvinvite.org) if you see any numbers that aren’t right. At this point I have posted all submitted game scores as well as all spirit results.

5) All spirit scores are now online (XLS: Girls Division, Boys Division) and embedded below. I will be directly emailing each team their written comments.

[Green means above average for the division and red means below average for the division.]

Please text your game scores to Josh at 802-748-9857 in this format:
“Boys/Girls – Team 1 [score] Team 2 [score]”

Thanks for an AMAZING first day! I was so thoroughly impressed by all of the amazing Ultimate I got to see as I wandered the fields. Phenomenal job everyone! Here’s what ya’ll need to know at this point:

1) All game scores are online in the tournament schedule. Please look them over and let me know if anything is off.

2) I did not receive spirit score sheets from the following team’s today: Four Rivers JV boys, Hartsbrook boys, and Somerville girls. Please make sure you hand those sheets to me first thing tomorrow morning.

3) I’ve posted spirit score average for each team in each category from today. They are shown below as well as listed on separate sheets in the online tournament schedule. A green cell means above average for that category. A red cell means below average for that category.

Congratulations to the following teams for having above average scores in all 5 categories!

  • Girls: Ottawa X & Montpelier
  • Boys: Andover, Montreal, Acton-Boxborough, & Amherst JVA

4) Please make absolutely sure you bring your spirit score sheet for tomorrow to tournament central immediately after your last game on Sunday. The faster you bring us your sheet, the easier you make life for us.

5) Please make sure you return your grey plastic bin before you leave tomorrow. It would be awesome if it was as clean as possible before you return it to us!

6) If you’re playing on fields 1 through 4 tomorrow, please make sure you time your own game and notice when it’s hard cap. Our horn doesn’t reach that far.

7) Please make sure you report your scores immediately after each game. Please make sure your texts are in the proper format: “Boys/Girls – Team 1 [score] Team 2 [score]”

8) Please do not award fractional spirit scores. Please ONLY award whole number spirit scores for each category.

Here are the spirit score averages for Saturday:

5/19 Updates

Screen Shot 2016-05-18 at 9.28.18 AMThe tournament program is now online. Only a limited number of paper copies will be available, so please make sure you have access to the digital version during the tournament.

Field will open at 7:40am on both Saturday and Sunday and the Northampton HS facilities will open at 4:15pm on Saturday. Please do not show up before those times.

If your team has a first round bye, you can check in between 9:00 and 9:30 and attend the 9:45 captain’s meeting. Please email or text me me directly if you plan on taking the later options. Please remember that all teams that are playing in the first round must check in between 7:45 and 8:15 and send at least one representative to the 8:30 captain’s meeting.

The spirit score sheet deposit of $100 or a captain’s cell phone can be made in the form of a check made out to “Ultimate Good”. Please make sure your team’s full name and division are written in the memo field of your check.

It looks like there could be some rain on Sunday. Please plan accordingly. If you see lightning or hear 5 consecutive horn blasts, you must immediately clear the fields and get back into your cars. We will return to the fields 30 minutes after the the lightning has passed. I will signal the return to the fields with a mass email.

Please do everything you can to keep sidelines clear. All tents, chairs, and other hard objects must be at least 5 yards from any sideline.

Everyone is familiar with all of the information in the FAQ and tourney program, right? 🙂

Breakmark is going to have a bunch of amazing gear for sale!
