FYI2025: One more sleep ’till FYI2025!

First pull is happening in less than 24 hours! Woohoo!

A few items:

PLEASE make sure you drive 15mph or slower on Island Road. This is the last road you’re on before you get to the fields. It’s not long. Please go super slow.

Program these numbers into your phone:

  • Josh Seamon-Ingalls (802-748-9857) = Tournament director questions
  • Lee Feldscher (347-831-3800) = Text if you need water
  • Moses (602-300-3951) = Scorekeeper
  • Allison Brehm (608-732-6597) = Trainer

All teams need to text Moses their game scores immediately after each game in this format:

MS/Open/F-M Team1 [score] Team2 [score]

Teams will be handing Josh a paper copy of their spirit scoresheet immediately after their last game.

Here is the status of food at the event:

  • What’s in the team boxes?
We won’t be providing boxes. There will be food available at tournament central for teams to consume at will 🙂
  • What food will be available at tourney central during the day for free?
The main food tent will have bagels, cream cheese, honey, nutella, peanut butter, jelly, wheat bread, white bread, pickles, apples, oranges, bananas, watermelon, and cookies.

Check in runs from 7:10 to 7:55am!

See you tomorrow morning!

FYI2025: How to speed through check in

All teams attending the Fall Youth Invitational this Saturday must check in at Tournament Central (TC) before the 8am coaches and captains meeting, which will also occur at TC near field 5.

Tips for how to fly through check in:

  • The only person that is required to be at check in is a team’s chaperone.
  • Please show up at TC by 7:45am at the absolute latest so you’ll have time to check in before the 8am coaches and captains meeting.
  • The chaperone needs to be prepared to show us their team’s medical authorization forms. Showing us digital scans is fine. We do not collect these forms.
  • The chaperone must bring their cell phone to check in. There will be a quick cell phone-based task for chaperones to complete at check in.

8:00am = A quick coaches and captains meeting at TC.

8:30am = Games begin!

FYI2025: Team Info

Here’s a bit of information about the 18 teams attending the 1st annual Fall Youth Invitational happening on October 25th at the Oxbow Marina in Northampton!

Amherst – Middle School: Open signup from our Intramural league, never played together as a team. Mix of 6th, 7th, 8th graders.
Four Rivers – Middle School: This is a young team with lots of beginner players, looking forward to catching the ultimate vibe!
Hopkinton – Middle School: Hop Middle School Ulti team is all 6th and 8th graders. We have a ton of fun and a ton of athleticism. We have been working hard on our game!! Our current team shirts have a picture of a Hurricane – we are the Hopkinton Hurricanes!
Vermont – Middle School: An excited bunch of Ultimate-playing Vermont middle schoolers.
Bard – Youth Female-Matching: Our team is fun, competitive, and diverse. We love to play frisbee, but we also love to meet new people, and make new friends through the sport.
Boston – Youth Female-Matching: Boston’s first high school girls team! (That we know of.). We made our debut at last spring’s PVI and are excited to return!
Four Rivers – Youth Female-Matching: Fast, playful, fierce and in sync — this team is like a raft of otters with a disc!
Lexington – Youth Female-Matching: We are a spirited and competitive team that loves to hustle on and off the field. Our mascot is a goose because geese travel in flocks, always leading and supporting one another during long flights.
Northampton – Youth Female-Matching: A great group of awesome ultimate players!
Vermont – Youth Female-Matching: We are a brand new team made up of players of all levels from all over Vermont. We are excited to learn and compete in this tournament. Many of the players will be playing in a tournament for the first time!
Big A – Youth Open: We are a passionate and friendly bunch of players that are hoping to have LOTS of fun!! we haven’t played a lot together as a team, but all have lots of previous ultimate experience.
Boston – Youth Open: We’re a citywide team from Boston, always happy for a chance to play on nice fields and meet other ultimate players!
BUDA U17 – Youth Open: BUDA U17 is a competitive club team that is focused on developing high school players who want to develop their frisbee skills while making friends across the state of MA. BUDA U17 program has been around since 2016. This year, BUDA U17 finished second in YCC (Youth club championship) tournament playing against some of the best teams in the country, the highest we have ever finished in the program’s history.
Four Rivers – Youth Open: This team has great spirit! To quote one of last year’s captains, this team loves to dig something up that nobody thought was going to be up.
Lexington – Youth Open: This team is very veteran-heavy, as we only graduated three players from last year’s team. They’re a talented team looking to make a name for themselves right out of the gate.
Lincoln-Sudbury – Youth Open: A hardworking team that puts spirit as our top priority. We try to focus on helping our new players understand the game and love the sport. Overall a fun team that emphasizes enjoying frisbee and playing as a team.
Vermont – Youth Open: 1st year team with a highly mixed skill level. Our goal is to develop players both in ultimate and as leaders and teammates. Ages range from 8th grade to high school seniors.
Xavier – Youth Open: This is a mixed team with Varsity players down to developmental. We are a fall intramural and using this to hopefully solidify the love of Ultimate in new players and give returning players a fall option.
